about

My time in Northeast Pennsylvania has had lasting impressions, to say the least. Throughout touring, I see many of the atrocities of the world at work against people of color, people of lesser privilege, and the working class. Balancing this with the fact that close friends of mine work for big corporations, I witnessed a court case in which the judge was leased to the prosecution and then asked them if they were buying his lunch, and our brothers and sisters are losing everything for the profit of the few, I figured a sarcastic ditty about being 'Wild, Silly, And Free' was appropriate...the first of 3 singles off my sophomore album Experiencing Turbulence.

please learn this tune and record it on YouTube, Facebook, wherever. tag my musician page and we'll share it. the earth needs more troubadours. the world needs more spontaneity.

lyrics

Capo 3 (explanations relative to capo placement)

––––––––––––––––––
Verse: C, F, C, G, *repeat x2*
––––––––––––––––––
Well how do you protect the ones you love when some others you love rely on the former being abused?
I don’t know but maybe you do
How do you go about helping some friends of yours when some other friends of yours are losing everything they loved and everything they ever knew?
––––––––––––––––––
Chorus: F, C, G, *repeat x3* C
––––––––––––––––––
Catch the moon with me
Let's get drunk and happy
Wild, Silly, And Free
Today
––––––––––––––––––
Verse: C, F, C, G, *repeat x2*
––––––––––––––––––
How come our brothers and sisters are losing their homes, their farms, how come this flag of red white and blue is fadin' more to black every day?
How come those that're cast a bad lot are brought to rot behind private prison bars
with the ones at the top collecting the pay?
––––––––––––––––––
Chorus: F, C, G, *repeat x3* C
––––––––––––––––––
Catch the moon with me
Let's get drunk and happy
Forget this misery
Wild silly and free
Today
––––––––––––––––––
Bridge: C6 9, slide down 2 frets, back to C shape (on those same frets, slide back up to C
*repeat 3 times*
then resolve into F, C, G into chorus
––––––––––––––––––
Though these walls may never tumble
And though our friends they may not agree
Our world is gonna crack and crumble
regardless of what those people decrees
––––––––––––––––––
Chorus: F, C, G, *repeat x3* C
––––––––––––––––––
Catch the moon with me
Let's get drunk and happy
Forget this misery
Let's be together in peace
Today
––––––––––––––––––
Verse: C, F, C, G, *repeat x2*
––––––––––––––––––
How come attorneys argue in circles
How come a friend of mine was held in contempt of court to a judge who leased the prosecution a chunk of his soul?
How come they said she did some stuff she didn’t?
How come the judge seem didn’t care and all he wanted was a free lunch and high-paying retirement referrals
––––––––––––––––––
Chorus: F, C, G, *repeat x3* C
––––––––––––––––––
Catch the moon with me
Let's get drunk and hapy
Block these doors with me
In solidarity
Let's be together in peace
Wild silly and free
Today
