In November of 2017, after years of darkness, I started down the path toward the light. Observing the struggles of the world, I realized infinite love is the answer (along with hope, healing, compassion, forgiveness, gratitude, & speaking one's truth). This song embodies the struggle of the divine feminine, climate change, social justice, & stillness. I wrote it for the Women's March in a tree damaged by Hurricane Irma. I plan to get it out into the world with everything I have. It's up to the world to listen... xx Penn
"Burn a Little Sage, Remember Where You Are..."
lyrics
fallen brother cradle me close. send love through your bark into my toes. share your synchronicities and remind me of my cosmic family. cuz right now i need healing the most. breathe in my energy. soak it into your roots and leaves. return it to the earth 100 fold.
well i know, i know, i know it's hard. the moon's nowhere to be found and you can't see the stars, but close your eyes you've come so far: burn a little sage remember where you are. remember where you are.
we share a mother mightier than all. lay on her body, hear her call. through many sounds and many ways. through forest showers, bird songs, and waves. and tops of mountains oh so tall. darkness blooming into sunlight creatures of the day and shadows of the night. every time you slip well back you fall.
well i know, i know, i know it's hard. the moon's nowhere to be found and you can't see the stars, but close your eyes you've come so far: burn a little sage remember where you are, remember where you are.
sister my sister what have they done? don't they know you're the only one to give new life on earth through your sacred womb and the miracle of birth. how could they favor only sons? we chant it loud and clear: strong brave women are the only reason we are here. we want equality for all and not just some.
well i know, i know, i know it's hard. the moon's nowhere to be found and you can't see the stars, but close your eyes you've come so far: burn a little sage remember where you are, remember where you are.
close your eyes, you've come so far. you've come so, you've come so far. the moon's nowhere to be seen and you can't see the stars. you can't see, you can't see the stars. well i know, i know, yeah i know it's hard. well i know, i know it's hard: but burn a little sage, remember where you are, remember where you are. remember where you are...
